In my counseling journey, I have found that I live for those aha moments when my mind, body, and soul align, and certain truths about myself emerge. Those moments of recognition and understanding can release me from difficult feelings and emotions and open my mind and spirit to love, joy, and purpose. In those present moments, I learn who I am, what has been holding me back, and develop the tools to move forward in a positive, productive way.
This is what I strive to do for my clients as well, through an integrative approach, which begins by figuring out what is fundamentally important to them, what the underlying values they hold sacred are, and what needs to happen to fulfill those life values. Together, we begin to build a path forward through mindfulness and committed action.
No matter where you are in life, it can be hard. There are times when we all face adversity, and it is not always clear why or what to do, but it takes great courage to step outside oneself and seek help. So, I am incredibly grateful and honored for the opportunity to sit with clients on their journey through life. Being allowed to share the space of healing and self-discovery we call therapy is not only an act of compassion and understanding, but also an immense gift of trust and vulnerability to the therapist. Welcome!
