    What is Play Therapy?

Play therapy gives children a safe, supportive space to express emotions and experiences in a way that fits their developmental needs. In child-centered play therapy, kids lead the play within safe boundaries, giving them a sense of control that supports healing and growth.

    What to Expect:

Parent Intake Session: We’ll meet first—just parents—to review your child’s history, outline the therapy process, and prepare for their first session.

5 Weekly Child Sessions: Your child will attend weekly sessions while you wait in the lobby. We create a safe, welcoming space tailored to their needs.

Parent Curriculum: While your child is in session, you’ll receive weekly resources and “homework” to build communication and parenting skills that complement their therapy.

Monthly Newsletter:Raising Resilient Kids offers tips on healthy communication and behavior strategies.

Ongoing Check-ins: Every 5 weeks, we’ll meet to review your child’s progress and adjust the plan as needed. Most children attend around 20 sessions, though this varies.

In addition to Play Therapy with children, I enjoy working with adults and deeply value the unique life experiences they bring to the therapeutic process.

We live in a world full of distractions and ways to avoid our emotions. I believe healing comes through connection—with others, with nature, and with our full range of feelings. In therapy, I provide a warm, non-judgmental space where trust and authenticity guide the process.

Using mindfulness, cognitive and behavioral tools, art, play, and more, I help clients explore growth and healing. I’m trained in Animal Assisted Psychotherapy and incorporate nature-based approaches, including work with my therapy rabbit, Piper.

I’m passionate about hearing people’s stories and walking alongside them in their journey. In talk therapy, I work with clients ages 16 to 60+, tailoring each approach to their unique needs. If you think we might be a good fit, I’d love to hear from you.
